Daniel Charles Small, aged 85, of South Holland, IL, passed away on March 4, 2025. Born on May 10, 1939, in Chicago to Andrew and Margaret Small, Dan attended Mt. Carmel High School and Notre Dame University. He married Mary Ellen LaPres in 1959 and they raised their five children in South Holland.

Dan was passionate about football, baseball, and collecting Major League Baseball memorabilia. He coached football at Holy Ghost Church and worked as a building engineer in Chicago after delivering milk. Remembered for his love of sports, family, and dedication to his work, Dan is survived by his children Kevin, Laura, Jean, Tom, and Rita, along with his brother Jack, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and sister-in-law Gwen.

The family expresses their gratitude to the staff and volunteers at William J. Riley Memorial Residence in Munster, IN, for their exceptional care for Dan in his final months.
