William "Bill" Olson, 78, originally from Chicago, Illinois, passed away on March 25, 2025, in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. He was born on January 30, 1947, to Willard and Sally Olson. Bill served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, where he achieved the rank of E-5 sergeant and received a Purple Heart. He dedicated 28 years to the Chicago Police Department, worked as a trade show carpenter at McCormick Place, and later as a courier with Premier Bank. Bill is survived by his wife, Rosemary, and three children, William, Kristine, and Elizabeth. He leaves behind grandchildren Mary, Therese, Andrew, and Augustin Sigmund, as well as siblings and extended family. Bill will be remembered for his service in multiple organizations and his dedication to family, country, and community. Visitation will be held in both Wisconsin and Illinois, with the funeral service on April 1, 2025, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, Illinois.
