Zofia Rafacz, a beloved matriarch known for her resilience, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at the age of 88 in Homer Glen, Illinois. Born on January 8, 1937, in Ratułów, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Aniela and Stanisław Rafacz, growing up with strong family values and a spirit of determination.

Moving to the United States opened a new chapter in Zofia's life, where she carried her Polish heritage with pride. Zofia leaves behind her surviving siblings Ludwika, Bronisława, Władysław, Władysława, and Anna, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who fondly remember her love and laughter.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois. The funeral is scheduled for Saturday, March 15, 2025, with prayers starting at 8:30 a.m., followed by a procession to Our Mother of Good Counsel Church in Homer Glen for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice. To honor Zofia's memory, a beautiful memorial tree can be planted through the Tree Store.
