A parent-activist is blaming a Bloom Township High School employee for "harrassing" 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park into cancelling his planned anti-illegal immigration event.
Oak Lawn native Terry Newsome says Tim Jacko, Bloom's longtime librarian and a driver's education instructor, scared the restaurant with angry phone calls and Facebook page posts claiming the “From the Border to Our Backyards" program, featuring presentations by news reporters who have reported on illegal aliens moving into Chicago and its suburbs, don't like illegal aliens because they are non-white.
“Tim (Jacko) has been harassing 115 Bourbon Street on Facebook and by phone. He posted a flyer on Bourbon Street’s page, claiming (the event presenters) are white supremacists,” Newsome wrote. "(He) is known for harassing conservatives, parents, and venues who disagree with his radical Marxist beliefs. Isn't this 40-year-old teacher a bit old to play Antifa?"

Newsome believes that Jacko is one of the many Antifa activists who left harassing calls at 115 Bourbon Street.
115 Bourbon Street ultimately canceled the April 30 event. It was later held at Belvedere Events & Catering in Elk Grove Village.
Speakers included Danielle Carter, a "sanctuary city" opponent from South Shore and vice president of "Chicago Flips Red."
On April 9, Carter testified before the U.S. House Subcommitee on Immigration, Security and Enforcement, slamming Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson.
"Brandon Johnson hasn’t just failed—he’s trampled that oath in his obsession with keeping Chicago a sanctuary for illegal immigrants," she said. "He’s driven our city into a $1 billion deficit, handed out shady no-bid contracts, and funneled over $600 million into services for illegal immigrants."
According to public records, Jacko makes $106,414.
In 2019, Bloom hired former principal Kenyatta Starks despite her inclusion on Chicago Public Schools’ “do not hire” list, following a 2016 Inspector General investigation that found she falsified attendance records.
