Edith C. "Edie" Young, known for her loving and faith-filled nature, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025, at the age of 82 in Tinley Park after bravely battling cancer. Born in Chicago on September 28, 1942, Edie dedicated her life to nursing, providing compassionate care that touched countless individuals. She was a cherished daughter and sibling, finding joy in family gatherings and gardening. Her unwavering faith guided her professional and personal life, inspiring all who knew her. Edie's memory will live on in the hearts of her cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, who were touched by her generous spirit. A visitation and funeral service will be held on March 27, 2025, at Brady-Gill Funeral Home and St. Julie's in Tinley Park, followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Evergreen Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Little Company of Mary's Sisters USA region are appreciated.
