Ronald M. "Ron" Hansum, a respected figure in the field of computer sciences and a beloved family man, passed away at the age of 73 on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in Schererville, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia A. "Virg" Hansum, and grandson Jackson. Hansum is survived by his children Matthea Beckett, Alex (Grace) Hansum, Derek (Megan Mullen) Hansum, and Naomi (Ryan) Lorance, as well as his cherished grandchildren.

Born on April 10, 1952, Hansum pursued his education in computer sciences and had a successful career as a Software Services Director and part-time professor at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL. He was an active member of Immanuel Christian Reformed Church in Burbank, IL, where he served in various roles.

Family and friends can pay their respects at the visitation on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Colonial Chapel in Orland Park, IL, and on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church. The funeral service will be held at the church followed by interment at Fairmount - Willow Hills Memorial Park in Willow Springs, IL.
