James G. Johnston, 82, a U.S. Army Veteran selected for the Presidential Honor Guard and a longtime insurance administrator, passed away. He was the husband of Linda Johnston and the son of the late Robert and Mary Johnston. Johnston is survived by his siblings Scott Weiss and Susie Stahl, and was the uncle of many.

Known for his love of golf and animals, Johnston will be recalled for his humor and warm smile.

Visitation is set for Monday from 3-8 p.m. at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home in Orland Park, IL. Interment will be private. Instead of flowers, donations to local animal shelters are encouraged.
