Daniel J. McGowan, 91, retired from Chicago Fire Department and a Knights of Columbus member, passed away. He was the loving husband of 69 years to Barbara (nee Bonkowski), father of Kathleen, Susan (Rick), Lynn, and the late Danny, grandfather of Joseph, Kevin (Samantha), Robert (Dana), Daniel (Katelyn), Michael (Alex Lee), Timothy, and Patrick, great grandfather of 7, and brother of Patricia (Albert). Visitation will be on Friday from 3-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, starting at 9:15 a.m. from Lawn Funeral Home in Tinley Park, IL, to St. Elizabeth Seton Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations for St. Jude or Shriners Children's Hospital are appreciated. For more information, contact (708) 532-3100.
