Albert James (Bert) Collins, a proud U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Veteran, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026 at the age of 79. Collins was the loving husband of Judy for 54 years, father of Katie and Missy, and treasured grandfather of Charlie, Will, Lucy, Rose, Jack, and Jane.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7th from 4-8 p.m. at Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral will take place on Thursday at St. Alexander Catholic Church in Palos Heights.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a cancer research foundation or a charitable organization.
