Thomas McInerney's Legacy Honored with Funeral Services

Thomas J. McInerney, age 91, peacefully passed away while surrounded by his family. He was the cherished husband of Judy McInerney (nee Coleman) for 65 years. Thomas was the loving father of the late Steve (Sherry), Dan (Beth), Tom (Margaret), Terry (Joe) Reidy, Julie (Marty) Racz, and Jodie (Dan) Berry, and the cherished grandfather of Taylor (Lance) Jaggers, Allie, Michael, James, Kelly (Joey) Schaer, Jake, Brendan, Matt, Lauren, Timmy, Maura, Claire, Marty, Molly, Tommy, and Maggie. He was the devoted brother of the late Vincent (Kathleen) and James (Margarita), and proud great-grandfather to Ella, Jackson, Charlotte, Grace, and Emmitt. Thomas worked as an Engineer Technician for the City of Chicago, Department of Aviation for over 30 years and was notably a longtime parishioner of St. Denis Parish and a member of the Brother Rice Father's Club.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, starting at 9:00 a.m. from Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111th St. Chicago Ridge, IL, and continuing to Queen of Martyrs Church at 103rd Street & Central Park Ave., Evergreen Park, IL for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brother Rice High School.
