Marie Dolores Ambuehl (nee McFadden), affectionately known as "Bean Bag," peacefully transitioned on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the age of 95, surrounded by her family. Born on September 19, 1929, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Marie married her beloved Donald Ambuehl on February 12, 1955, sharing 55 years of marriage in Lansing, Illinois, where they raised their five children.

Marie's devotion to her family defined her life, as she actively participated in her children's sports, sewing their clothes, and preparing holiday feasts. Known for her infectious laughter, Marie had a passion for bowling leagues, bunco clubs, pinnacle nights, country music, shopping, traveling, dancing with Donald, and casino outings.

Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Richard Ambuehl, and son Donald Jr., Marie is survived by her children Anne Brumm, Linda Martinez, Louie Ambuehl, and Gidget Ambuehl-Armstrong. She leaves behind numerous beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Marie will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and her memory will live on until they reunite. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home in Lansing, with a Mass of Christian Burial at All Souls Catholic Parish at St Ann Church. Arrangements were entrusted to Starks Family Funeral Homes, Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo, MI.
