Robert D. Lebed | Kaminski Family Funeral Homes & Cremation
Robert David Lebed, 83, known as "Bob" to loved ones and friends, peacefully passed away on June 14, 2025, in Elgin, Illinois. He was born on April 19, 1942, in Chicago, the youngest son of Fred and Frances Lebed. Preceded in death by his wife Gloria, Bob is survived by his daughters Loretta Torres, Valerie Travaglini, son Peter, and granddaughter Samantha Travaglini. He worked as a truck driver for Jewel Foods before establishing his own trucking business, Bridgeview Trucking. Bob later served as a trainer for the Illinois Secretary of State until his retirement in 2020. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home in Justice. A Catholic Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery. Bob Lebed will be remembered for his love of motorcycles, storytelling, and being a cherished member of a close-knit family.
