Jeannette "Jean" Fay Metzler, lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of 89. Preceded in death by her husband William and daughter Lori, Jean was a source of love and inspiration to her family and friends.

Born in Chicago and a longtime resident of Palos Heights, Jean worked for Orland Park School District 135, devoting herself to various roles while raising her children. She shared a deep connection with her family and loved spending time on Maui during summers. After her husband's passing, Jean channeled her passion into crocheting hats for children in need, exemplifying her caring nature and generosity.

An avid reader, Jean's love for books led her to attend numerous book fairs, reading over 1,000 books throughout her life. Her spirit of kindness and compassion will be dearly missed but forever cherished by all who knew her.

A private service will be held to honor Jean's life. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Susan G. Komen. Jean's legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
