Orland Park, IL - George E. Mitchell, aged 88 and a US Army Veteran, passed away. He was the beloved husband of Mary Kay Mitchell for 67 years, loving father of George, Mary Nichols, Gregory, Michael, and Charles Mitchell, dear grandfather of many, and cherished great-grandfather of Roman and Mitchell. George was a proud owner of Mitchell’s Candies and Ice Cream Store in Homewood, IL.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at Lawn Funeral Home in Orland Park. Family and friends will gather on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. for the Funeral Service at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Palos Hills, with interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
