Orland Park, IL - Doris M. Leifert (nee Abugelis), beloved wife of Richard Leifert, passed away after a courageous 11-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the loving mother of Carla McLaughlin and Andrea Medina, stepmother of Tony Leifert, devoted NANA to Sofia, Ella, Elena, William, Gianna, Jace, and Lucia, dear sister of Laura Cegielski and the late Claire Mestan, and aunt of Tony, Joe Mestan, Jason, and Michael Cegielski. She was a caring great-aunt to Joe and Nick.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at Lawn Funeral Home in Orland Park. The funeral service will take place on Monday at 10:15 a.m., proceeding to St. Michael Church for Mass at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Glenwood Academy would be appreciated. For further details, please contact 708-429-3200. Doris will be remembered for her strength and resilience in the face of illness, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
