City of Oak Forest Committee of the Whole met Aug. 26

3. Alliant Insurance Services to discuss the 2025-2026 employee insurance renewal with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Following a discussion of same, staff will seek policy direction from the City Council related to potential bundling alternatives (for future confirmation) prior to commencement of open enrollment period.

4. The Oak Forest City Council will receive a presentation from Assistant Director of Community and Economic Development Paul Ruane on the City’s Comprehensive Plan, adopted in February 2008. The presentation will provide an overview of the plan’s components, highlight key issues and goals, and review implementation strategies. Council discussion will include follow-up questions to help guide consideration of potential updates and future planning efforts.

5. Citizen Participation: The Oak Forest City Council invites public comment at its meetings, but it generally does not have the ability to provide an immediate response to some questions raised during the Citizens Participation portion of a council meeting without some reasonable opportunity to review them. Therefore, the City Council encourages questions to also be submitted in writing in the event that they need to be referred to City staff to help assure a more thoughtful and informed response. Individual comments are limited to three (3) minutes.
