Tinley Park - Joan M. Nemec, wife of the late Kenneth Nemec, passed away. She is survived by her children Kenneth Nemec, Maribeth Grant, Michele Fonte, and Kerry Nemec, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Edward and Mary, siblings Jim and Jack.

Joan was dedicated to family, proud of her children and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, enjoyed following family and friends on social media, loved church activities, and was known for her warm personality. Joan will be remembered for her generosity, love of baking, sewing, and care for others, as well as her cherished dog "Buddy".

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Andrew Weishar Foundation and Dravet Syndrome Foundation. Visitation will be held on Thursday at Lawn Funeral Home with the funeral procession on Friday to St. Elizabeth Seton Church for Mass and interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
