Anne Perillo-Michuda, a distinguished soprano and esteemed professor in vocal performance, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, at the age of 90, surrounded by her family. Born on May 24, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York to Guiseppe and Marie Louise Perillo, Anne's musical talent blossomed early on. After graduating from Bay Ridge High School, she pursued music at the Juilliard School and later earned her Master’s degree from DePaul University in Chicago. It was at Juilliard where she met her beloved husband Leo, with whom she shared a passion for music and philanthropy.

Anne's career as a soprano spanned the globe, winning competitions and gracing prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall. She was a revered professor at DePaul University for over 37 years, shaping the lives of many students through her mentorship in vocal performance. Anne and Leo's dedication to philanthropy shone through their support for numerous charitable causes and the arts, leaving a lasting legacy.

She is survived by her children Mark, Josef, and Marie D’Ortenzio, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Lawn Funeral Home in Tinley Park, IL, on Sunday, September 14, 2025. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Anthony’s Church in Frankfort, IL, on Monday, September 15, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Anne's honor. Anne's joyful spirit, generosity, and love for music and family will never be forgotten.
