Chicago, Oct. 1, 2025 - Joanne Bryja, a beacon of joy and creativity, passed away at the age of 30, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and artistic expression. Born on October 14, 1994, Joanne was the cherished daughter of Elżbieta and Marek Bryja and sister to Stanislaw.

She is survived by her maternal grandparents Krystyna and Stanisław Szeliga, paternal grandparents Weronika and the late Jan Habas, and beloved dog companion, Hazel. Joanne, an alumna of DePaul University, studied Public Relations and Advertising and dedicated herself to her Christian faith.

A lover of art and deeply connected to her Polish Highlander heritage, Joanne's creativity and passion for life touched all who knew her. Her laughter, sense of humor, and vibrant spirit will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois. The funeral service will occur on Monday, October 6, 2025, with prayers and procession starting at 9:00AM from the funeral home to Our Lady Mother of the Church Polish Mission in Willow Springs, Illinois for a 10:00AM Mass. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Orland Park, Illinois.

Joanne Bryja's legacy as a loving and creative soul will continue to inspire all who knew her as they carry her memory forward with love and enthusiasm.
