William H. Newren Sr., age 87, passed away. He was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis Newren, nee O'Brien, and the proud father of William H. (Mary) Newren Jr., Joseph (Tracy) Newren, Robert (Mary) Newren, Margaret (Dennis) Smock, Kelly Newren, Mary Pat (Michael) Burns, and the late Donald Newren. William was cherished as a Grampa to Joseph, Dennis, Caterina, Michael, Allison, Christa, Will, Samantha, Courtney, Katie, Donald, and Peter James, and a proud great-Grampa to Marinn, Graham, Joey, Tommy, Piper, Claire, and Adaline. He was the dear brother of the late Edward (late Rita) Newren and a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.
William was a proud and loyal retired member of L.U. #130 Plumbers in Chicago. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Monday, October 6, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m. from Curley Funeral Home in Chicago Ridge to St. Linus Church, with Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
