Dennis "Ferga" Ferguson, age 68, passed away on October 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Maria Ferguson, loving father of Amanda (Tom) Gray, Lupita Ferguson, and Denise (Matthew) Murphy, and proud Abuelo of Sophia and Ella Gray.
Dennis was cherished as the brother of Julie (Steve) Grube, Daniel (Karen) Ferguson, and the late Joseph and Bernard Ferguson. He was the devoted son of the late Francis and Bernice Ferguson and a dear brother-in-law to Hector Fragoso and Miriam Fragoso. Dennis was also a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Retired from the Chicago Public Schools as a Chief Engineer, Grade 5, Dennis was a proud union member. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Curley Funeral Home in Chicago Ridge. The funeral service will take place on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Christina Church in Chicago for Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
