Lois J. Osborne Remembered for Gardening, Crafts, and Kindness

Lois J. Osborne | Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home

Lois J. Osborne, 88, of Lansing, IL, peacefully passed away with her son James by her side. Born to Walter and Genevieve Rodak on January 26, 1937, Lois is survived by her son James, nephew David Rodak, nieces Dawn Rodak and Lori (David) Sisk, grandnephew Bradley Sisk, and grandniece Samantha Sisk. Lois was predeceased by her parents, brother Walter Rodak Jr, and son Robert.

Lois devoted many years as an office manager for Kvanger Songer Construction and as the co-owner of Lansing Quick Wash Laundromat. An enthusiastic gardener and skilled craftswoman, she excelled in flower arrangement and sewing.

Known for her warm and caring nature, Lois cherished her many friendships, especially with lifelong friends Arlene Van Duyse, Sally Schultz, Ginny and Jim Burd, and Stella Osborne. She found joy in receiving pictures and updates about the children in her life, always eager to know more about their adventures.

Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home in Lansing, IL. Lois will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL.

Lois will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
