Report: Alsip-Hazelgreen-Oaklawn spent $12,153 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Alsip-Hazelgreen-Oaklawn School District 126 is down 6 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $12,949 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,153 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1559 to 1632.

Alsip-Hazelgreen-Oaklawn's spending in 2016-17 was 6 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
