Report: Calumet spent $10,926 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Calumet Public School District 132 is up 3 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $10,595 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,926 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1199 to 1118.

Calumet's spending in 2016-17 was 16 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
