Report: Chicago Ridge spent $11,304 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Chicago Ridge School District 127-5 is up 32 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $8,560 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,304 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1453 to 1473.

Chicago Ridge's spending in 2016-17 was 13 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
