Report: Dolton spent $13,791 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Dolton School District 149 is down 1 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $13,898 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $13,791 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 3095 to 2788.

Dolton's spending in 2016-17 was 6 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
