Ford Heights School District 169 students suspended, expelled 9 times in a single school year

Ford Heights School District 169 reported one expulsions and eight suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 9 students during the year. That equates to 2.1 percent of the 434 students enrolled.

Students were expelled for one incident with drugs.

The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for violence without physical injury. The category includes six incidents. There were two incidents of unspecified reasons. For six incidents, students were suspended for 1-3 days.
