Report: Harvey spent $14,251 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Harvey School District 152 is up 19.8 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $11,899 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $14,251 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2166 to 2004.

Harvey's spending in 2017-18 was 6.9 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
