Report: Calumet City spent $15,433 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Calumet City School District 155 is up 17.3 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $13,156 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $15,433 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1196 to 1150.

Calumet City's spending in 2017-18 was 15.7 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
