Report: Calumet spent $11,551 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Calumet Public School District 132 is up 26.4 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $9,142 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,551 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1192 to 1112.

Calumet's spending in 2017-18 was 13.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
