Report: Chicago Ridge spent $10,617 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Chicago Ridge School District 127-5 is up 5.9 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $10,022 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,617 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1485 to 1457.

Chicago Ridge's spending in 2017-18 was 20.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
