Analysis: Oak Lawn pays $3.10 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Oak Lawn Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 75.2 percent of the $5,178,125 the Oak Lawn Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.10 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Oak Lawn contributed $3,894,219 to the fund, which saw a $640,140 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $1,253,675, or 24.2 percent, in 2018. Another $30,231 came from other unspecified sources.
