Analysis: Lemont pays $2.67 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lemont Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 72.9 percent of the $1,125,601 the Lemont Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.67 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lemont contributed $820,377 to the fund, which saw a $216,341 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $307,243, or 27.3 percent, in 2018.
