Report: Calumet City School District spent $19,146 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Calumet City School District 155 was up 43.3 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $13,364 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $19,146 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,158 to 1,090 students over the same period.

Calumet City's spending in 2019-20 was 32.1 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
