Report: Calumet School District spent $14,662 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Calumet Public School District 132 was up 35 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $10,862 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,662 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,127 to 1,033 students over the same period.

Calumet's spending in 2019-20 was 1.2 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
