JUDSON EAGLES DEFEATS GOVERNORS STATE 3-0 IN THE ARC

The Governors State Women's Volleyball team entered today's contest versus the Judson Eagles looking for their first conference victory. The set scores were 23-25, 11-25, and 23-25.

This season has seen key injuries that resulted to Governors State's four time all-conference outside hitter Dunja Tatic to move to the middle. The Jaguars has battled the entire season, which led to the university seeing a record of six games that has gone all five sets.

The Jaguars were led by Tatic, who ended the game with thirteen kills and ten digs and junior setter Yareli Pacheco, who distributed 23 assists. Pacheco is now 16 sets away from moving into the Top 5 on GSU's career list.

The Judson Eagle (8-11, 3-6 CCAC) were led by Brielle Wilkins who had 13 kills for 21 attempts, followed by Alyssa Gerzel who had 12 kills and 5 digs.

Head Coach Pete Gonzalez stated, " We have been very close in most of our matches. We need to dig deep in the face of adversity. If we keep our heads up and keep working hard, the victories will come.

GSU Volleyball (3-12, 0-9 CCAC) will return home Monday, October 3rd, to face a NCAA Division III opponent in Blackburn College (3-9, 2-3 SLIAC).
