Cook County Commissioner Sean Morrison posted a series of tweets in late August 2025 expressing concern about political violence and calling for public accountability. In his posts, Morrison referenced an attack involving a self-identified communist professor and questioned the response from left-leaning individuals.

On August 23, 2025, Morrison wrote: "Wow this terrible, didn’t hear anything about this attack. Clearly unhinged person. A self declared communist professor no less, go figure. The vitriol violence against conservatives is getting out of hand. Why are the folks on the left silent mostly silent?"

The following day, he continued his criticism by stating: "It’s unacceptable malfeasance when will folks just get their heads out of their arse" (August 24, 2025).

Later that same day, Morrison addressed parents directly with another post: "Parents, speak out, what say you" (August 24, 2025).

Morrison has previously voiced concerns about public safety and political discourse in Cook County. As a county commissioner, he has been active in discussions around community engagement and law enforcement oversight.
