Paul Hryn, a beloved figure known for his deep faith and commitment to family, passed away peacefully at the age of 71 on August 19, 2025, at his home in Olympia Fields, Illinois. Born in Chicago to Michael and Elizabeth Hryn, Paul dedicated his life to spreading God's love and instilling faith in his children and grandchildren.

He attended Thornton Township High School and later established Hryn-Becker Construction Company, working alongside his partner Terry "Ace" Becker. Paul's love for construction was matched only by his passion for watching football, basketball, and Hogan's Heroes, particularly cheering for the Chicago Bears.

Paul is survived by his wife Yvonne, daughter Abbey, stepsons Theodore and Kellen, and grandchildren, along with his extended family. He is remembered for his dedication to the Veterans Ministry at his church and for the love and guidance he provided to all those around him.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tews Ryan Funeral Home in Homewood, Illinois, followed by a funeral service to celebrate Paul's life on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 1:00 p.m at Calvary Assembly of God Church in Flossmoor.

In honor of Paul Hryn, memorial trees can be planted, and flower arrangements can be sent through the family's sympathy store.
