ORLAND PARK - Earl N. Schmitz, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away at the age of 91. He was preceded in death by his late wife Diane C. Schmitz and is survived by his children: Nancy Ernst, Steven Schmitz, Thomas Schmitz, and Michael Schmitz, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Schmitz spent 40 years as a dedicated employee of ComEd and was a proud member of IBEW Local 15. He was a member of Reavis High School's inaugural graduating class in 1952.

Visitation will take place on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lawn Funeral Home in Orland Park, with the funeral service scheduled for Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fairmont Willow Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Salvation Army in memory of Earl N. Schmitz.
