The campaign committee Citizens for Better Education owes a $3,550 fine imposed on Jan. 6, 2014, according to Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed look reveals the committee owes additional outstanding fines totaling $3,950 with Joyce Jackson listed as the responsible officer.

ISBE Records dating back to 2003 show 38 area campaign committees owe a combined total of $128,119 in pending fines.
