Joseph S. "Big Joe" Uldrych | Lawn Funeral Home - Tinley Park

Joseph S. “Big Joe” Uldrych, affectionate husband of Janis (nee Jechenthal); loving father of Julie (Robert) Bruce, Joseph Jr. (Jamie), Jeffrey (Dana), and Jason (Melissa) Uldrych; devoted grandfather of Brian Joseph, Alexa, Madison, Jason Jr., Joey, Jenna, Nate, Michael, Nicholas, Sophie, Jake, and Jacob; proud great grandfather of Lukas; cherished brother of Marilyn (Tom) Moutvic, Marlene (Greg) Foytik, Mauren Hola, and the late Rudy (Helen) Uldrych; dearest uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Joe, an accomplished athlete excelling in various sports and pastimes such as fishing, horseshoes, bags (corn hole), bowling, softball, ping pong, and pool, passed on his passion for fishing to his children and grandchildren. He took pride in his work as a truck driver for USF Holland, NW Transport, and Mason Dixon, forming meaningful connections with colleagues and vendors on his delivery routes.

Known for his love of music, particularly Christmas carols and polkas, Joe eagerly welcomed the holiday season early. An ardent patriot, Joe displayed the American flag proudly on his garage door during celebrations and wore patriotic attire. His caring nature led him to assist those in need and share his faith with others. Family was paramount to Joe, and he found immense joy in supporting his wife, children, and grandchildren in their endeavors and sharing meaningful moments with them.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Lawn Funeral Home in Tinley Park, IL. Interment will be private. Joe will be remembered as a kind-hearted, patriotic man of character who brought love, hope, and faith to all he encountered. His enduring legacy of compassion and strength will be deeply missed.
