Palos Fire Protection District responded to 238 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the South Cook News.
The calls in Palos included 41 fires - 22 structure fires, four vehicle fires and 11 other fires. The fire department also responded to four calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $339,602 in fire loss - or about $8,283 per fire.
The department also received 197 false calls, including two malicious calls and 195 other false calls.
