Report: Reavis spent $16,278 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Reavis Township High School District 220 is up 7 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $15,186 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $16,278 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1803 to 1800.

Reavis's spending in 2016-17 was 25 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
