Report: Flossmoor spent $12,715 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Flossmoor School District 161 is up 3.6 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $12,268 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,715 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2374 to 2360.

Flossmoor's spending in 2017-18 was 4.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
