Report: Homewood Flossmoor spent $17,916 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Homewood Flossmoor Community High School District 233 is up 4.2 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $17,199 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $17,916 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 2811 to 2814.

Homewood Flossmoor's spending in 2017-18 was 34.3 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
