Report: Evergreen Park spent $17,706 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Evergreen Park Community High School District 231 is up 9.5 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $16,177 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $17,706 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 852 to 844.

Evergreen Park's spending in 2017-18 was 32.8 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
