VILLAGE OF TINLEY PARK: PACE to change bus stop policy

Bus(1000)

Village of Tinley Park issued the following announcement on July 11.

In the interest of public safety, PACE recently announced changes to the way customers can board a bus.

Previously, passengers could flag down a bus where it was safe to do so, regardless of whether that location had a posted bus stop sign. PACE is now converting all its bus routes to a posted-stops-only operation and will change nearly 200 bus routes system-wide, in stages, over the next several years.

Once the conversion of Route 386 is complete, riders will only be able to board and alight the bus at posted bus stop signs listed in the Posted Stop Locations chart.
