Village of South Chicago Heights Board of Trustees met Nov. 4.

Regular meeting was held on Monday, November 4, 2019, at the Village Hall, 3317 Chicago Road, South Chicago Heights, Illinois. Mayor Terry Matthews called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance followed. Mayor Matthews requested the Village Clerk, Catherine Linan, to call the roll. The following were present:

APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES: Trustee Marrufo motioned to approve the Regular Board of Trustee meeting minutes of October 21, 2019, seconded by Trustee Stanton. There being no further discussion, the roll call vote being:
Ayes: Terry Fiorenzo, Eric Stanton, Sally Marrufo, & Tracy Bosco.
Nays: None.
Abstain: Eugene Fazzini & John Ross.
Absent: None.
Motion carried 4 to 0.
APPROVAL OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING MINUTES: Trustee Marrufo motioned to approve the Committee of the Whole meeting minutes of October 21, 2019, seconded by Trustee Fiorenzo. There being no further discussion, the roll call vote being:
Ayes: Terry Fiorenzo, Eric Stanton, Sally Marrufo, & Tracy Bosco.
Nays: None.

APPROVAL OF BILL LIST: Trustee Marrufo motioned to approve the bill list of November 4, 2019, seconded by Trustee Bosco. There being no further discussion, the roll call vote being:

TRUSTEE/COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Trustee Marrufo stated that the Kids Halloween Party was on October 25, 2019 with 44 children and 33 adults in attendance. Trustee Marrufo stated that the Senior Luncheon was today and thanked the Mayor, the Village Board, and staff for their help. Trustee Marrufo gave a special thanks to Itzel Gonzalez for her hard work setting up both events.
Police Chief Joyce explained that the Fire & Police Commissioners have set up a meeting to adopt new policy and Bi-laws for the board on November 7, 2019.
Director Martin stated that since January 1 2019, his department has had 20 water main break repairs, 3 valve replacements, one storm sewer repair, 11 b-box repairs, 5 sanitary repairs, 2 fire hydrants repairs and 2 fire hydrant replacements.
Deputy Chief Wehrle stated that during the month of October there were 697 calls for police service bringing the year to date total to 7,784 in 2019.
NEW BUSINESS:
BUSINESS LICENSE: Ms. Natasha Burke of Nahar Touch Hair Studio located at 168 W Sauk Trail summarized her business. Discussion ensued amongst the Board regarding the hours of operation and the number of customer chairs. Mayor Matthews asked if the building has been inspected. Director Goncher stated that no inspection has been done at that property. Mayor Matthews stated that once building has been inspected and approved by fire and the building department, a license could be issued.
MAYOR: Mayor Matthews read a thank you letter from Alicia's Food Pantry to the Village Board thanking them for their annual donation.
ADJOURNMENT: With nothing further to discuss, Trustee Stanton motioned to adjourn the Regular Board of Trustee meeting, seconded by Trustee Fiorenzo. On a voice vote, all ayes, no nays; the motion so ordered. Meeting adjourned at 7:11 p.m.
