Report: North Palos School District spent $11,460 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at North Palos School District 117 was down 1.7 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $11,661 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,460 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 3,301 to 3,403 students over the same period.

North Palos's spending in 2019-20 was 20.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
