Report: Chicago Heights School District spent $15,078 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Chicago Heights School District 170 was up 7.9 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $13,970 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,078 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 3,231 to 2,886 students over the same period.

Chicago Heights's spending in 2019-20 was 4 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
